Denisha was born in Trinidad and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where she developed a deep appreciation for cultural diversity. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Baruch College while working as a paraprofessional in the NYC Department of Education. This experience confirmed her passion for education and inspired her to become a classroom teacher.
She went on to earn a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College and began her career as a first-grade teacher. She has also taught kindergarten and is now entering her sixth year of teaching.
Outside the classroom, Denisha enjoys cooking, exploring new activities, and spending time with her dog, Snickers.
