Alyssa is a passionate educator with over a decade of experience in public education. She holds a dual degree in General and Special Education from Syracuse University and was recognized as a highly effective teacher in DCPS. She began her career in inclusive elementary classrooms in DC Public Schools, supporting multilingual learners and students with disabilities for seven years. Her commitment to equity led her to become a Literacy Instructional Coach, where she spent three years helping teachers apply Science of Reading practices.

Certified in the Science of Reading, Alyssa has led professional development to strengthen foundational literacy skills for all students. She is now an education consultant and supports K–12 educators and school leaders in building more inclusive, effective classrooms. 

During her free time, Alyssa enjoys cooking, bike riding, and exploring new neighborhoods. She brings warmth, expertise, and a deep belief that every student can succeed with the right support.
