Carolina is a teacher with more than 22 years of experience. She has taught English as a Second Language, Mathematics, Spanish, and Science at the elementary level. A native Spanish speaker, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Colombia, South America, and is currently in the final stretch of her master’s degree at the University of Maryland in the TESOL program (Teaching English as a Second Language).

Building strong relationships with her students is a top priority for Carolina. She takes great joy in seeing her students achieve their goals.

Currently, she works as an ELD teacher for MCPS in a Two-Way Spanish Immersion school. She lives in Montgomery County and deeply values the cultural diversity of the area. Carolina is known for being cheerful and fun, as well as being flexible in her approach to teaching.
